HoloTactics is a Strategy fangame, with RPG and Auto-Chess elements, inspired by Hololive Vtuber group characters. It's totally free and will always be free.
Currently, there is only one game mode available- Survival. Fight against endless enemy waves that grow stronger, and defend your Nexus the longest you can!
Buy Idols to defend your base. The Idols in the store are randomized, so, use wisely the characters available to play your strategies!
The Idols which you buy plays an important role in your strategy. Every Idol has an unique skill, and also, two or three traits that you can use to create synergies.
With syneriges, you can grow your Idols status, or even gain new abilities!
You can upgrade your idols by buying them over and over. Once they reach a certain number of purchases, they will upgrade to the next tier and earn new stats.
You can also upgrade your level with gold, earning more space to put Idols in field, and growing your rates to see more powerful and rare idols in the store!
Available right now:
- Campaign & Quick Battle Modes;
- Two type of maps with different terrain features;
- 13 enemies;
- 40 playable characters with unique skills;
- 22 synergies possible.
Stuff planned for the next big updates (Not listed in release/priority):
- More gamemodes, such as battle against the I.A. and scenarios;
- More dynamic gameplay and maps, with random events that can give players new strategies, such as Blood Moon, Thunderstorms, Vulcans, etc;
- More characters with unique skills and new synergies;
- Itemization!
- New unique enemies and bosses;
- UI improvements to make the game easier, and also, new menus to give more info about characters in field, possible synergies and which characters are necessary, enemies in field and their stats and skills, etc;
- Animation improvements and interactive tutorial;
- Domination objectives in field that rewards you if done.

I was looking for an online version of Holotactics... From Star Wars Jedi Survivor and ended up finding this instead. Haven't played it and don't really have any intention to since it's not what I was looking for (I have no idea who half of these people are) but neat, 👍
the screen resolution or maybe menu could still use some work, also I think I broke my game. Maybe consider adding a scroll bar for the menu.
can you please add a 32 bit version?

just downloaded new version love the added gen and all that,
so far i have gotten the previously mentioned error (from the previous message) and upon trying trying again i recieved this error (was trying to move choco don't know if that plays a part in it)

Oh shoot... I know what bug this is from just seeing this line:
local variable hex_moves(100359) not set before reading it.
I've tried to fix that and I thought it was fixed. It was the enemy turn and you tried to move Choco, that's it?

I changed my aspect ratio, it got too big to fit the screen, and now I can't change it back. Deleting and re-downloading the file retains the aspect ratio. Any way to clear the settings?

You can delet your settings on AppData\Local\settings, it's a file named prefs.ini.

i was moving a character over the mountains tile (or so i think) i will try again today and see when it does it agai
it happened when i went to move a character, this time it was ayame i don't know if that was all also i had 2 other members on the field as well, this time it happened to aki, i don't know if the number of members matter but i had about 2-4 (sorry i couldnt give you more detail than that), so what i know it happens each time it is my turn, it doesnt seem to matter what character. it also does not seem to matter what turn as this time it was maybe only 5 turns in, not does wether or not it is a saved or new game, the only other constant would be me skipping the tutorial just went through tutorial the only constant seems to be i have more than one character, and when i move one. sorry if the edits cause a mass of notifications, i was trying to see if there was any 1 constant in the errror bc i really want to see this game complete i think it has tons of potential it's fun their are alot of different tactics with the many synergies. and you mentioned so many more things you plan to add. in all honesty i think when everything is added and ironed out it may be on par with other strategy games out there
Hm... That's strange, I've tested it a lot the last patch to prevent this kind of crash errors :/
Usually, this message:
means that the game tried to localize an idol in the field to realize an action during your turn, like moving or attacking, but the game itself lost the target of said idol within the process. This used to happen before the last patches when you realize quick actions and change the selected idol, like attacking an enemy and instantly changing the selected idol with the a hotkey, or moving to a tile and then passing the turn with Space Bar before it finishes the movement.
Perhaps this was the case? Also, were you using the free mode camera, or was it locked?
I'll try to figure it out to patch it in the future. I hope this isn't affecting your experience overall.

not at all as i said it is for the most part random like i said so i get in a few turns and save. it may be one of those issues i will double check next time i play and let you know if there are any other instances and what i did before hand.
New update is good and the map is bigger which make more strategies and I can't see basic skill info. Hope you will fix it soon.(the skill info is under basic skill board and i think you should place it on the board)
Hello! What's your monitor resolution? Are you playing in fullscreen?
I've been trying to create an automatic-adjustable user interface for all monitors, getting the monitor width and height to calculate where put the menu, so it shouldn't be like this...
yeah Im playing fullscreen and when I change to window it still the same for skill info but the screen now let me see full exp bar
You're playing in a 1920x1020 monitor, right?
I'll try to patch later this week. A couple of code lines were mistaken and I haven't realized, since my display availables for testing are 1600x900 and 1366x768. When available, please tell me if this bug persists Thanks for the report!

I had a lot of fun gathering all of gen 0 and gamers, but I think that I found a few bugs (?):
- after Korone got upgraded to tier SSS (orange), she had a very high number of attacks and a very high damage (she could kill most enemies with a single attack each)
- after using Roboco's skill a few times, I saw that she had at first -1 moves (she got to -3 moves sometime after that) and I couldn't move her at all, no matter how many turns passed

Yeah, for some stupid reason I forgot one simple line in all SSS upgrades and every idol that is tier S or lower as default have infinite stats :/ but it's fixed. Probably next week the new update is incoming with everything fixed. Oh, the bug that crashed your game as well- I'm sorry that happened.
The Roboco bug is new to me, I'll investigate it. Probably it's simple as well.

How do you look around the map? I only found that I could zoom out.
So far, you can left click and drag with the mouse the camera around.

This is my opinions:
-Gen 2 seem weak if compare with another gen (they cheap btw) but subaru is well to play.
-Sometimes i cant attack use my skill even tho still have attack point and have QP (aqua, roboco).
That all. This is nice game and really fun, Suisei and Matsuri really carry me out there

Wow I got so engrossed in the game I didn't realize 2 hours had passed already!
It takes some time to learn the skills, strengths and weaknesses of each talent, but it gets better as time goes by.
The game ended up crashing at turn 81, not sure what happened. I tried to attack an enemy but I had also lost like 5 units already and respawned 4 of them or so during the game, maybe it's related to that?
If it helps, my team was: Sora (respawned), Matsuri (respawned), Pekora, Miko, Mio, Choco, Suisei (crashed when I tried to attack with her at start of my turn), Rushia, Flare (dead), Subaru (dead), FBK (dead), Korone (dead), Ayame (dead).
It's funny that I had Choco block 3 enemies from coming through by standing between two mountains and fortifying. The AI just kept moving back and forth and never going past her lol.
Good job on the game and I can't wait to see what next! :D

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it said something about the next action not existing? I can't remember the exact words, sorry!
using the zip file i came across 2 different errors (i forgot to see what they were) but they both happened around the 50 turn mark one creted a duplicate pekora that did nothing and when i tried to sell the real one the first error apeared the other happened after i used hachama's special skill that aside the game is really fun between the traits and the gen skills there are lots of strategies you can create

I'm aware of Haachama skill error and already fixed it, soon a patch will be available. But this one with a duplicate is new to me. I'll investigate it to understand why it's happening and fix it in the next patch too.

also i had an idea i don't know if you plan to impliment or thought of was specials skills aside from the gen skills ones that involve specific members like Micomet or NoeFlare , or even shirani kentsu and other style ships as i said just a suggestion
Actually yes!! But it will be a long time before this become available. Also, I can say that this will not be available at your first gameplay when it's available- since there will be not only random maps, but also scenarios and other gamemodes, this will be a feature unlocked. Not sure if I will do a level system for this, achievement, etc. But again, I can't say when this will be available.
